Children in a refugee camp outside Tuzla, Bosnia, pump water from a naturally-occurring, carbonated well. Perrier would covet this well. The water is delightful and refreshing. This is my first recollection of blond-haired, blue-eyed Muslims. In the Balkans all stereotypes fade in its mix of peoples and their history. The camp had been attacked before we arrived and a number of children were slaughtered. The leader of the camp would not let us enter until we viewed photographs of the dead children. Viewing them seemed to take forever. They are images difficult to pry from your eyes.
