Not only is the water high, wind blusters up to 40 miles per hour ... too strong for the kite one fellow attempts to fly for his daughter ... yet it is a beautiful day along the river. Most of the trees are cottonwoods. They tolerate their roots in the water as the age of those along this water-edged avenue attests.
