... the canyon was once within the range of the California Condor ... the last one was seen in the 1930s ... they were reintroduced in 1996 ... now there are 70 of the nine-and-a-half foot wingspan scavengers flying over Southern Utah and Northern Arizona ... many are frequently visitors to the canyon ... we wait hours for this one to fly ... number 33 occasionally cocks its head ... as if to say ... no way ...

  1. Question…….where did they find the condorto reintroduce?? They are certainly one ugly bird.!
